Re: MATCHLESS instruction engine.

Well done, Lex !

It's not the most aesthetically attractive sectioned engine, but interesting nontheless.

Re: MATCHLESS instruction engine.

It most probably had a tubular stand when used as an instruction engine with a handle on the crank, also a sectioned mag, timing chain and sprockets, carb studs indicate it might have had that on sectioned as well, push rod tubes are sectioned as well, should look nice all restored back to original with the red and white painted parts.

Re: MATCHLESS instruction engine.

Where in the uk does it need collecting from Lex?

Re: MATCHLESS instruction engine.

Thanks Mark, it's in Ledbury, but a friend there already picked it up, I will hopefully see him in July, and take it with me.

Cheers,

Re: MATCHLESS instruction engine.

Shame I'd already left home before seeing these posts...I was at that auction and could have delivered it to Founders Day......Ian

Re: MATCHLESS instruction engine.

Thanks Ian, but it's no biggy, can you remember if there were any bids on the engine? it's a bit shady, my max was 143 pounds, and it went for 140, with my bid by email.

See you at founders day!
