Re: M20 BSA front mudguard fitting

ive been having a debate about the rear lower mudguards stay bolts with a friend, anyone got a pic of thees? i assumed they had a stud with the domed shouldered nut, and there not the same bolt as used on the front lower mudguard stand?

thanks, barry

Re: M20 BSA front mudguard fitting

Barry the nuts are the shoulder nuts that Mark has 15-0447

The bolts are 1/4x26tpi hex and are screwed from inside the mudguard into the tapped holes in the mudguard bridge piece. Designed so that you can loosen the nuts and slide the tail piece away. Ron

Re: M20 BSA front mudguard fitting

thanks mark and ron, se i thought the bolt in the pic just went on the front guard slot because there isnt a hex head to tighten or undo, plus its threaded on the tail piece bridge so itl be fixed in one place. i have a pic of a parts list it does all so show another domed head bolt 24.7276 what could this bolt be

just to ad ive always used a bolt from behind and used that special nut to clamp the stay

Re: M20 BSA front mudguard fitting

Barry what section of the parts list is the number 24-7276? Mudguards? I haven't found it yet.

The number for the lower rear stay bolts is actually B751 and the same bolts/sets are used on the fork ends of the front mudguard stays.

Re: M20 BSA front mudguard fitting

Apology Ron, 27-5446 just one used on the front stand.
B751 used on the lower rear stays.
As you mention also two used on the front stays connecting to the forks.
