I thought I did a post on these a while back.
This is not my idea, but one of the late Robb Nortiers.

To make M20 oil tank fitting easier it was suggested that a double threaded spacer would help.

So here they are and I'm using them myself.

Great idea, given they had a similar solution to the pannier frames it makes you wonder why they didn’t do it. Only reason I can think of is it would need more machine time and bolts were plentiful.
Thoughts anyone??
