Seat padding.

With Jan's assistance I finally got some material to pad my Czechia seat and cover.
I used one piece to cover all of the top with about 25mm overhang on the sides.
Another smaller piece just enough to cover the elastic.
Then a crescent about 40mm wide pushed into the back of the seat to offer protection from the steel edge.
The largest against the cover to give a smooth look.
The metal tangs on the cover were not the nicest to fit and if I've done it wrong please say so.
We do have an excess of material!

Re: Seat padding.

Looks a really neat job to me and better that the replacement cover with padding I got.
I find the side clips open up and I have to keep pinching them back and one has pulle dout to the seat altogether. Yours look much better quality.
Where did you find the bungee style 'springs' ?

Re: Seat padding.

Thanks Dean,
My hands are not very strong these days and I found it a struggle,
Shock Cord is easy to buy, the hooks I haven't found.
Mine came with the seat frame.

Re: Seat padding.

The elastics, including the hooks can be purchased from Czech Republic, via Mrs Anna Budínová "anna.cingrosova@seznam.cz".

Her dad makes them but he does not speak/write in English.

I think to see the elastics on the picture are from the same source (at least for manufacture thereof).

Cheers,
