Hi all,

If I have modern day bearings in my steering on my M20. Do I need part number 65-5217 fitted or does the bearing face sit against the stem?

All the old cups and cones must be removed. Ron

I have taken the cups out, thanks for the help Ron. Can you confirm this slight gap should be left, the stem won't go in anymore.

No that is terrible Danny. Have you by any chance got the bearings in the wrong way round? Top and bottom. Ron

I did post something on the subject just a few weeks back as I changed the headstock bearings on my 43 project.
