Long ago member, now a 'Coffin dodger' wondered what the lump was in the bottom of the wardrobe. Dug it out to find that it was my DR Jacket (Full length) It's in excellent condition although a bit creased with being rolled up and very slightly grubby (It did go to Normandy a few times. = good day!) no rips, complete with the belt etc. Size 8, stamped 1945
So what is it worth? Any offers? If I get a decent offer for it, I'm going to Stoneleigh on Sunday and could take it there for pick up.(Reducing my 1940s stuff)
Yes, he comes up for a brew now and again. He's just reached retirement age (65) still got some catching up to do on me.
I'm now feeling my age. The oil pump needs additives to keep going, rear suspension joints are knackered, chassis is bent creaks & groans, Headlights are getting dim, Audio system is well knackered. But apart from that, I manage to scrape through my annual MOT (Usually with a few advisories)
Hi Ian/Ron
Hope you are both doing ok, im doing ok and as Jim says we see each other from time to time.
We sure had some good times in Normandy and fondly remember our first meeting and then discussing 65 for 65
