1942 WM20 rear sprocket

Gents,
looks like I will have to buy a rear sprocket (QD 42T). Very unlikely the bike will be ridden often.
Anyone used an Indian sprocket?
I have EBay prices from AU$145 to AU$345 from different sellers. They look like identical illustrations.
Is it a case of higher price higher quality or is one supplier a rip-off merchant.
It is not an urgent thing. Any advice much appreciated.

Baz

Just done another search:
Most sellers post free, but how about AU$475 plus AU$111 postage, OR AU$745 !!
Most are around AU$125 to AU$145, post free.
Definitely all the same picture.

Re: 1942 WM20 rear sprocket

I got an unused Indian sprocket along with some spares I bought....I fitted it to my bike but in only a few weeks the teeth started to break off...It was clear from the grain structure and colour of the material that it was manufactured from grey cast iron, not steel as the originals were...

There are some well made UK manufactured drums available..I usually source them from a local bike shop I've dealt with for years...I can check availability, price and shipping costs for you...Contact me off forum if interested....Ian

Hi Try Cob Smith in Sydney as he generally has them which are made in England. Can get him after 7pm on 02 65539442. He gets around most swapmeets.
