Chain case caps and timing cover caps. In the many posts on this site our resident expect seem to say 19 more often than 18.
This evening I made a 19 TPI one and it does not fit either.
With not many threads to measure or even to screw into it would be easy to get it wrong, then there is a possibility that someone forced the wrong pitch in the hole.
What’s everyone’s opinion on this?
Mark i.am sure that it is 18 tpi.
About a half year ago i put my nos cap under the microscope to clear out that it is 18 tpi and not 19 tpi is stated in the technical section.
