New year present (perhaps)

I've just got word of a very rare engine that's turned up..Only 12 sets of castings were produced by BSA for this type...An all alloy B29/B30...There is one I know of in New Zealand and this may be the only other example...Now I'm waiting (and so is my bank account!) to see if a deal can be done to ensure it comes my way....More info. to follow, hopefully...Post war the engines were used in the development of the post war 350 Gold Star which was released in 1949 as the ZB34..The second photo is of Bill Nicholson at the 1946 TT on a factory BSA with, at least, the top end of an alloy engine fitted..Note the very early swinging arm frame conversion and large works front brake...Ian

Re: New year present (perhaps)

It can be done Ian! Ron made a complete Royal Enfield experimental lightweight, starting with a rare bare engine. I'm sure I can help you with a few of the parts that you will be needing! :grinning:
