Granted a trival question to the experts on here. The Valve lifter where should it correctly sit in the housing?

What position, the manual on pg9 it looks to be at the 9 o clock position.

Again, hope not a stupid question.

Danny if you're talking about the banjo shaped lever on the barrel. It's more like 2 o'clock. But they're a fiddle to adjust correctly so that you have some minimum clearance when the valve is shut, but not too much so that it doesn't lift the valve when you want it to. Also the engine plate stud that holds the outer cable has a slightly angled end which must face the right way. Ron
