Cheers for the offer but I should 'fess up, the carb in question is not for a WD motorcycle but for a "38 Rudge and while it uses an Amal 76 carb it is a little different to the standard Amal body as it has a spigoted flange and the drilling for the pilot circuit is slightly larger I'm lead to believe, so restoring this one is on the cards.

Yes, I've spoken to John, He's out of stock at the moment and won't have any for a couple of months. I may well go with John as it's not super urgent, Joe The Carb has some, just waiting to hear back from him on postage.
