Hi all, I am part way through the restoration of a civilian ML and at some stage will be looking for an age-related registration from the DVLA.
I have the following reference numbers:
Frame ML 22132
Engine AAA28438 A
Down tube 7121

I figure it is earlier than 1948 as it has the bicycle type handlebars
with the centre bolt fixing and the remains if canvas grips

Any help would be very useful.

I could help if it was WW2 military. But I think you will need to get a dating letter from either the James Owners Club or VMCC. Ron

Ernie, are you sure the frame number doesn't start with 122? I have a similar number in my register, that has a works number of 70xx I thought postwar bikes never had the works or down tube number?
