Airborne Battle Wheels Oosterbeek 2021

Due to Covid-19 the ABWO event and campsite are cancelled as it was in 2020. However we are planning a one day event on Saturday 18th of September. There will be a parachute drop on Ginkel Heath. ABWO is invited to be present on the Ginkel Heath with a number of British vehicles.
After the parachute dropping at the Ginkel Heath we will head fort he rendez-vous point at Telefoonweg Renkum and start the Race tot he Bridge again this year.

If you want to join this event you have to book in with our booking form which can be found on our website www.airbornebattlewheels.nl/entry-form/

Costs of this one-day event will be 10,- euro’s per vehicle. Payment will be at the rendez-vous points. Your vehicle will be inspected at the rendez-vous point. Location of the rendez-vous point will be given in the near future.
If it is up to our standards you will get a participant-sticker. Without this sticker you can’t enter the Ginkel Heath or Race to the Bridge start-point.

Vehicles must be British Airborne or British modified. We prefer participants wearing WW2 British army/airborne clothing. US or US equiped and German vehicles are excluded from this years event on the 18th of September.

Weapons are not allowed during this one day event.

After the Race to the Bridge there will be a vehicle static show on the Airborne Museum Hartenstein grounds.

The amount of vehicles is limited up to one hundred (100). WW2 British motorcycles unlimited.

We really hope to meet up with old friends in september or next year. Our kindest regards, Airborne Battle Wheels Oosterbeek Foundation

Hello Ramon,

Is this a private event because you have to pay to attend? In the past anyone could join the Race to the Bridge and you only had to pay for the ABWO campsite event. But this year there is no campsite.

Regards, Steve

It was inevitable this was going to happen in the current situation and a lot of us in the UK are gutted that we can't make it over for this one. I'm sure we will make it over next year and raise a glass to the fallen Heroe and see our friends again.
