If your bike is a later war bike with pannier frames & a long field stand - it will need the longer stud which also supports the mudguard stays, lifting handle & the field stand clip & mounting plate

Hi,

It is a '44. But not yet with pannier frame etc. I counted some 10 threads per 1/2 inch, are you sure about the 26tpi? the stud is 1" long. Is there a reason that only on the left side of the frame there is a stud and on the other side a hole?

Maybe you have a BSF stud 22tpi?
On the right side it's easy to put a nut and bolt in. Ron

PS the part number for the nuts both sides is EA80 (5/16 x 26tpi) Ron
