Re: Steering head BSA M20

I have a spare parts list from January 1944, an instruction book for 1939 models and a maintenance manual and instruction book. That´s it.

As I disassembled the bike in 1993 in Tel Aviv, imported it to Germany in 1997 and it has now been lying around for many, many years, it will be a huge puzzle for me, from the many, mostly very worn-out and damaged parts to put them all together again.
I will definitely have a few more questions and still need a number of parts..

Re: Steering head BSA M20

If you are going to use the std open ball races then get some can and block off the two large holes in the steering where the frame members are braised into the lug.
Otherwise you will be filling the top rail and front downtube with grease via those two grease nipples.

Re: Steering head BSA M20

Top grease nipple is located under the top ball race, so more or less pointless anyway, I think.

Are there suitable tapered roller bearings anywhere for the M20?
