Forum issues...

Is anyone having trouble accessing the forum?...In my case it is taking a long time to access the forum initially and quite a long time changing from post to post....The problem , bizarrely, seems to be worse in the mornings and a couple of mornings back I gave up on it......

I don't have any speed issues with anything else out there....As I have no idea at all about computers and how they operate I'm just interested to know if anyone else is having similar problems...Ian

Re: Forum issues...

I'm having the same trouble.
Too many people viewing it Ian? The server can't cope?
Maybe a word with the ISP might be a solution

ISP?..What size Whitworth spanner does that take?.... ....I'm glad it's not just me anyway...Ian

Re: Forum issues...

I have had this sort of problem on and off for the past year or so. I just give up and come back later.

Re: Forum issues...

I've spoken to Bastiaan about it today, but it's working fine his end. So I thought it was just me. I'll forward this thread to him. I think Bravenet need a poke. Ron

It's fine from Belgium. Must be a Brexit issue...:face_with_rolling_eyes:

Re: Forum issues...

I am also having problems accessing the forum + some posts appear to be missing or are not being updated.

Re: Forum issues...

Me too, only over the last week or so. It seems to be a delay in initial loading of the site.

Re: Forum issues...

Hi all,

Ron contacted me this morning about the loading problem he is encountering. I have checked myself (as Ron already said) with various computers and various internetconnections this morning but everything worked fine. I thought the problem was at Ron's end.

I understand now that various users in the UK are having the same problems. This is not a coincidence of course. I have just send Bravenet Support a message and asked them to look in to it. I will let you guys know as soon as I receive an answer.

Thank you all for informing me of your problems regarding the forum. Please keep on doing this in the future!

Regards,
Bastiaan

Re: Forum issues...

Fine up in North Yorkshire :+1:

Re: Forum issues...

All ok up here in West Yorkshire too, i access the site usually twice a day.

Re: Forum issues...

Hi all,

Bravenet support has already send a reply. Bravenet asks if someone (with loading problems) can execute the procedure which is described below.

I am fully aware that it means that you need some experience with computers but it will provide the information for Bravenet to fix the problem. The outcome of the test can be directly emailed to me.

Who is willing to run the test?

Regards,
Bastiaan

Re: Forum issues...

Early this morning I couldn't get on to the forum without a long wait, but just now it loaded straight away. Based on my lack of IT knowledge, I'll leave it a while and see what happens before attempting to understand those instructions. But feel free anyone else who understands it. Ron

Re: Forum issues...

No problems (as far as I can tell) here in the USA. Pages load quickly and all seems well.

Re: Forum issues...

Well it's just taken me a good few minutes to get to post on this thread, but I simply don't understand the instructions.

Bastiaan by all means give them my email address if it helps. Ron

Re: Forum issues...

Very slow accessing the site and looking at posts this morning...I gave up again after a while as it was just too time consuming...As noted in my first post though, it seems better in the afternoon...Ian

Re: Forum issues...

Working in Wisconsin too. Is this perchance tied to Brexit and duty taxes on the transfer of the bytes of data? :)

Re: Forum issues...

It also works much better for me later in the day....Gawd knows??

Re: Forum issues...

Only odd thing I had was having to fill in 5 times that photo question before 'it' allowed my message online.
And yes I know what a stop light is and even how a palm tree looks... :upside_down_face:

Re: Forum issues...

Thanks to those stupid questions, I found out what a 'crosswalk' is....Couldn't we have the questions in Dutch ? It is after all a Dutch message board....

Re: Forum issues...

I'm hopeless with anything to do with computers or IT, can hardly even type out a sentence, so I'm pleased to say that the forum is working fine in the centre of the Universe, Leeds, West Yorkshire. No problems with speed or connection.

Re: Forum issues...

Morning all...I've just come on the forum this morning and got an instant result....They must have put some more oil in or something... .....Ian
