Re: Bobbed RAF BSA M20

Nice work!

Not everyone wants or can achieve a perfect period restoration (that would include me) and I admire that another WM20 is back in use!

Best wishes, Allan

Absolutely - back on the road and not just a box of bits - not hacked about so can always be rebuilt again in the future if someone takes it on. As a matter of interest I acquired an M.20 in the late 1970s that was a chopper project someone had lost interest in. Most of the machine was there but sadly the girder fork blades had been cut ready for extending and the bottom part of the forks had been lost.

Re: Bobbed RAF BSA M20

It's good to remember these bikes weren't always regarded as historical artefacts and 'sacred cows' and they still aren't by some...The M20 is still a relatively common bike and if it comes as a 'basket case' it's nice to think there is more than one option for a rebuild...

My M20 is the only 'standard' bike I own as I actually prefer specials generally. They provide more opportunities to apply your own thinking and to create what you want around the basic layout of the bike......Ian

Not a problem at all - Ron may even post a photo of my WD Norton 16H Pre-65 trials machine in RAF colours as I lack the skills to do so myself. The only thing I can paste is wallpaper as for copying I use a photocopier.

In your Man Bag of course Ron

Re: Bobbed RAF BSA M20

Olof, that M20 is very nicely done - most of the current 'bar bobbers' I've seen are just plain horrible but that is a very nice balance of old and new.

Re: Bobbed RAF BSA M20

Nice. Also the sidecar.

It's good to know there are still some non-rivetcounters around.
