Can someone attach the current forum photo to this thread please? I assume it is a period photo and not a re-enactment demonstrating camouflage and the art thereof.
Some points of interest regarding the 16H which seems to have seen some off road use. The silencer has certainly taken a bashing and I note the footrests have been adjusted so that they are a maximum height above the ground. Handlebars do not have the stop ends. Pillion seat and footrests are apparent and clearly no pannier frames.
Any information on origin of this phot would be gratefully received.
As far as I know it's a Dutch Norton, but..... this is the text that came with it, it's a Royal Enfield :face_with_rolling_eyes:
Militairen oefenen op het Prinses Julianakamp te Kijkduin, waar het Indisch Instructie Bataljon (IIB) gehuisvest was. Dit bataljon leidde militairen op, die naar Nederlands-Indië werden uitgezonden. De motorfiets is een Royal Enfield 350 cc (legeruitvoering)
Google translate: Soldiers train at the Princess Julianakamp in Kijkduin, where the Indian Instruction Battalion (IIB) was housed. This battalion trained soldiers who were sent to the Dutch East Indies. The motorcycle is a Royal Enfield 350 cc (army version)
