Looking for BSA M20

I am still trying to find my grandfathers service motorbike. It's a BSA M20 1940. The Census number is C4343870 and the Frame number is possibly 27278. The bike was used by the Royal Army Service Corps during the war. I have a photograph of the bike, and my Papas mates bike too and up until a few days ago that was all I had to go on. If anyone thinks they could help me trace the bike please get in touch with me via my email address.
Thanks.

Re: Looking for BSA M20

Hi John,

The BSA in question, WM20.27278 with tank number C4343870 left the factory 2-10-1940. Here a page from the factory ledgers with that BSA in it.

Re: Looking for BSA M20

I would expect ball-ended Amal levers by then John but still with rubber footrests.

Re: Looking for BSA M20

I think that this BSA should have levers as in this photo.

Re: Looking for BSA M20

Hi Henk, do you have such a document with the chassis number 106167? I'd like to attach it to my collection.
Thanks so much
