I see in pictures that the later bikes (1955 and newer it appears????) had an extended carburetor intake manifold. Any advantages to this other than preventing the fuel boiling in hot weather (which mine does)?
I have got a longer intake on my M21 so that the monobloc carb clears the magdyno. Cheers Pete

Back in the day I had one with an extra long intake. It went like stink.

Side valves do seem to breathe better with a long intake tract and yes longer = cooler Cooler = more fuel
