Hi All,
I seem to recollect reading somewhere that there was/is a popular mod to replace the 1B float chamber with another which had a longer arm thus enabling it to be better(?) cooled by the air flow. So, am I right and if so what is the float chamber of choice (and does anyone have one for sensible money)??

I think I remember this right, early Military M20s used the longer 1E bowl which was positioned outside the carburettor.

The early bikes had the float bowl on the left (Probably the 1E) But then they swung it to the right which is already out in the breeze! Ron

Looking at the Amal website I think the nearest available is the 1 DE - long neck, banjo connection for the bargain price of £121!😳
Anyone got a decent used bowl they would be will to part with 1B or E, need either to get running.
