Hi all...is there any difference between inlet and exhaust cams for a b33? I looked in the parts manual and they have difference part numbers. Reason why I'm asking is that my recently build m33 is running rough hard to start and back fires little flames out the carby when cold. im thinking that perhaps the cams are in the wrong way?
The cams are both the same. The early ones had no quieting ramps on them but the timings are the same. Maybe you have one of them one tooth out, I did this on my M33.
Spitting from the carb when cold is a symptom of a weak mixture at the bottom end of the range...Have a look at that once you are happy you have the cam timing correctly set....Ian
