The RCAF lettering looks to've been done in house. Perhaps a small Canadian unit attatched to a larger group were given it & personalised it?

The truth may never be known.
That b25 was part of the 434th bombardment group based in Tunisia in 1943, the canadian Air Force was also there at that time, maybe their airfields were close to each other
