Front spindle bolt sequence with speedo drive

Hi folks,

Nice to have Henk back at the reins.

Not understanding how to equip the speedo drive. Schematic on the technical section does not include the speedo drive. When I apply the sequence listed, the first square nut sits too high to allow the drive as it should. Is there a special nut that is used instead?

Much obliged for any comments.

Re: Front spindle bolt sequence with speedo drive

Henri here is the complete front hub sequence. On the speedo side first is the 'square' bearing adjusting nut, followed by it's slim lock-nut, then the anti crush washer that sits in the recess inside the speedo drive. Ron

Re: Front spindle bolt sequence with speedo drive

Ron,

Also found out that the timken bearing on the speedo drive side was jamming against the axle preventing it from bottoming out. Hence my problem with that square end nut!

Persistence persistence will get you there....
