Looks like Ian's (also a Big4)
Cheers Pat

Re: WB30 for sale on Milweb

Indeed it is Ian's. Ross must be going soft! He tells me that he's bought a Jeep!

Re: WB30 for sale on Milweb

He's probably selling it because he got told to ride at the back because it's too loud :grinning:

Re: WB30 for sale on Milweb

Cooooo! £20,000! Specialised collector territory I think.

Re: WB30 for sale on Milweb

I'd say that price might be a bit optimistic...But then I've been proved wrong before. It is a rare machine with the opportunities to buy one few and far between and the true collectors can get carried away when they feel they have to have something...

To me it's a fancy B31 (the bike which it was developed into after the war) and it feels much like one when you ride it...From that perspective it simply isn't different enough to warrant the price tag IMO. However, as a collectors machine and forgetting what it's actually like it has the credentials...

It will be interesting to see what it fetches ultimately....Ian

Re: WB30 for sale on Milweb

Hello all,

I must say that, I have had offers well in excess of the asking price multiple times in the past and in hindsight I should have sold it then.

It is a very rare bike and the opportunity and one of the few and far between.

Just yesterday I refused an offer of £18.5k, silly to turn it down? Maybe, Time will tell.

I will keep you all posted, and I have overtime in doing a diary speak of the bike and about the bike, which I will soon add on here which might make for interesting reading

Re: WB30 for sale on Milweb

From what you say it seems you will get the price you are asking at some point...Good luck with it...The 'diary' should be interesting..

I only did a few miles on it before selling and moving on to another project, though the research and the rebuild took around 3 years....Ian
