Can anyone suggest a way of repairing a through stud hole which has worn oval?

Bore it out oversize and press in a bush, or weld it up and re-drill it. Ron

These were my thoughts too but when i showed it to one engineer he didn't think it possible.
Since your reply I showed it to a different engineer who said he would either sleeve it or weld it!
I assume the first bloke didn't want the job!
