Cluch dimensions for the roller

Hello,

I have bought a new cluth sprocket and it's impossible to use it with new clutch rollers.
I'll must work it to change the dimensions to use it with new rollers.
Do you know the exact dimensions for the portion who support the rollers ?

Thanks for your answers

Claude

Re: Cluch dimensions for the roller

If it is a single spring M20 clutch the rollers should be .250" (1/4") diameter by .250"(1/4") long...Ian

Re: Cluch dimensions for the roller

Hi Claude

Check that the clutch sleeve (66-3811) doesn't have a hairline crack in it that is opening out.

This can cause the mis-fit you have described.

I had this problem on a bike in the past. I don't know what caused the crack to develop.

Re: Cluch dimensions for the roller

Yes it's a single spring.
But I'd like to know the diameter off the clutch sprocket where the rollers turn ( around 51 mm ).

Re: Cluch dimensions for the roller

The diameter of the clutch chain wheel roller track should be 2.0283"-2.0288"..(51.5188mm-51.5315mm)..You'll need an internal micrometer to measure this accurately..Ian
