Generally, the grease nipples on my fork linkages are very small and shallow and don't seem to take my grease gun well. Is there a certain type of gun head that I should use or should I change them. As far as I can see they are original fittings.

The original grease nipples were designed for the pump action grease/oil 'Tecalamit' guns which I find a bit hit and miss. On my everyday bikes I fit modern nipples which enables me to use a modern lever action grease gun. The nipples are easily available in 1/4" BSF. Ron
