Possibly a strange question, but have any of you chaps tried rubber coating a cloth harness with Plasti-Dip or similar rubber compound?

Why on earth would you want that?
There were never any cloth wires on WD bikes, only full rubber, nowadays can be found in a perfect petrol / oil resistance modern rubber, can be found on eBay, other from me on a 20 meters roll.
