BURMA AIR FIELD.

At an air field in Burma which was also used by an American C47 supply squadron, the aircrews were given the use of the RAF motorcycles as run arounds. photo Screenshot_20170513-175718 2_zpsdezd7xyp.png

Re: BURMA AIR FIELD.

Very nice picture, looks like they used the headlamp as airfield landing lights as well.......

Re: BURMA AIR FIELD.

Is that a Talflow airfilter?

Re: BURMA AIR FIELD.

I can't quite make out the detail, I don't think it is a Talflow filter but would not be at all surprised.
Even though the factory was bombed out in 1941, I have a photo of my late father in law, sat on a 1944 bike, in Burma, with a Talflow filter on it.
It took me a good while to find one, but I did as I am rebuilding mine to replicate his as best I can.

I'd say definitely a Talflow. Ron

Re: BURMA AIR FIELD.

I think you are indeed correct Ron, It has the hooded lip along the front, I just could not make out the extra bump at the front which was the air scoop.

Nice photo though, thanks for that
