For my Ariel I am looking for the tool box screws as on below photo. I assume these are correct for early WNG's,..or perhaps all WNG's? Where these used on other WD bikes or pre war bikes aswell?
Are these being remanufactured or available as an original part?
They are fitted to early W/NG's, and are an Ariel designed part (as distinct from the later toggle type, which are similar across several makes). The picture you shows an early W/NG (before mid 1941), with rubbers on the gear lever and clutch arm, and the central speedo mount.
Those toolbox knobs are used on post war Ariel's as well - my 1951 Square Four has one.
These may be available from Hitchcocks Motorcycles. I say "may" because the online parts book for the WD/CO describes them as "ridged type" but the illustration is for the one arm lever type, RE's Parts Books often used a generic picture for common range items like footrests and toolboxes so the illustration often did not resemble the actual item. Try phoning Hitchcocks, they are very helpful with queries like this. I have certainly had a CO toolbox with this fastener through my hands.
