G'day All.

On mob had 4140 HT steel but was made in India.

Re: EN16T steel for axels

What,
You have to be joking
Firstly EN16 is an obsolete grade of steel.
4140 is equivalent to EN19 and is readily available from alloy steel merchants
For a small length chase up model engineering supply shops.
There are dozens of them.
Assab will most likely keep it but I think their minimum order $ 250

Where abouts in Australia are you ?
A lot of 4140 and 4130 was used in Victoria & South Australia for auto industry supplies and I would imaging there would be a lot of steel wholesales down south offering good prices to run down the inventory.
