Re: Clutch sleeve

Next question will probably be: "How can that big nut be undone without putting my life at risk?"
And then:"How can I put it back again?"
Don't be afraid to ask those questions; I'm sure ALL of us when starting with an M20 had that problem, but now there is ample experience available...

Re: Clutch sleeve

And I still have some of Robb Nortier's clutch and cush drive tools for sale. Contact me by email if interested.

Re: Clutch sleeve

i have already the extractor and i have dismount the clutch, but the clutch sleeve isn't came off.
I tried to push the extractor until all the way but the problem persist.
The clutch sleeve is just screwed or is just fit?
And, yes, how i can put it back?

Thanks for reply

The clutch sleeve, the center part on the clutch is pressed in place by the nut in the picture. It is a tapered fit on the shaft coming out of the gearbox. It should come off if you have the proper extractor tool and use it correctly. Try giving it a few "taps".
For putting the clutch together you will need a tool for compressing the clutch center spring.
