I had problems with starting for some time. After installing new plug with no luck I did take carb off and found jet block was split to top and bottom parts. I even didn't know that it is made in two parts and soldered together. Quite easy to repair but never heard that it happens. Carb has done 8000 miles of hard work.

Mine did the same and was fixed with araldite! But that was an old 276.

Actually Kale, they're made of three parts. The centre tube is also soldered in place. They shouldn't really fall apart in normal use though.

Ok. Interesting how to define normal use in case of combination of hot, vibrating M20 engine, rigid frame, and ground roads?
