Hi First time delving into a Burman gearbox, can somebody tell me should the 3rd/4th gear pinion slide on/off the layshaft or is it a press fit, as mine is unwilling to move?

Hi Barry,

4th gear is splinned and should just pull off, the 3rd gear is sat on a bronze floating bush and this will slide off one you have removed the smaller 4th gear.
