What size gasket goes on the inner shell. New gasket is 20 thou and when tightened the gearbox tightens up,back wheel tightens when run in 4th gear. Put 5 thou feeler gauge in and back wheel runs free. Is it a 25 thou gasket or 30 thou gasket to give correct end float. with 25 thou it would seem to be 5 thou. Cheers Conrad

I didn't have to re-shim when I took my gearbox apart to replace the output bearing, but there's a previous thread on the forum that may help.

If you finding that's not enough clearance, then maybe the box was set with a think gasket?

I am currently having the same issue, replace one of my selectors and went to put it all back together with a new gasket to find it has tightened it to near solid. Will probably try making my own gasket with some thicker gasket paper.
