I have a 1936 BSA R4, of which there should be a pic on this site. Recently I have been offered another in poor/incomplete condition.
The gearbox ,which is handchange, has its outer cover and other parts missing, can anyone tell me please if a WD M20 gearbox cover will fit as it looks very much like the foot change one on mt R4 ?.
Also, as there is no head and barrel and the chances of finding spares are, I think,nil, I am contemplating fitting a M20 engine, so can someone tell me what the overall height of such an engine might be please ?.
