This may be the same chap who sold one of these previously (or it may be the same head)...It appears to be nicely made but of course is not a 'military' head...Alloy heads were fitted to civvy M20s and 21s from 1951 onwards...Ian

No, both models got the alloy head...The part number change is shown in the parts lists with the head being shown as common to both models...Ian

Looks very good though. Should improve cooling on a wdm20 and if painted black would be hard to tell at a quick glance that it was different to original.
And of course all the fins are there!
I run a painted alloy head on my WD M20 with the oversize engine..The iron head is with the original engine that will go with the bike when I eventually sell it...Ian
