should WM20s have drain holes at the bottom of front forks? mine has 4 approx 3mm dia, yet a mate who has a 1946 M20 has none!

Mine has a hole under each tube. Might work as drain hole but it could also have had a purpose during brazing.

Thanks Henk,but i fail to see what good it does for brazing, being an ex coded welder we never drilled holes to allow for gases/fumes to escape!

When you braze end caps on a tube the hot expanding air in the tube wants to escape pushing the brazing material away from the joint instead of it flowing in to the joint.
