Technical question Burman Gearbox

My Ariel W/NG needs a new sprocket on the gearbox for the secundary chain. After removing the clutch and the primary chain case I can reach this sprocket (see image)

I wondered how to remove this sprocket. It looks like I need to remove the bush were the needle roller cage fits over has to be removed first....
If this is the case, how can I remove this bush/collar?

Thanks...

Re: Technical question Burman Gearbox

You have to take the kick start cover off and remove the whole main-shaft.....Clever Idea But it's quite straight forward without removing the box from the frame.

Re: Technical question Burman Gearbox

For what it will cost i would put a new bearing and oil seal in while you have the chance i think you can now get the large bearing from A M C classic spares with the modern oil seals fitted but you will still want a conversion kit oil seal for the gearbox.
