Those front forks look like the photograph Barry Fuller posted earlier about his early bike mystery find.

REME rebuild plate on the outside of the toolbox. I thought that they didn't do that ? ...but I know bugger all about post-war.

My M20 had the plate on the outside of the toolbox when I bought it...I moved it to the inside and eventually took it off altogether and keep it separately..It's a bit of a giveaway on a bike built to wartime spec.. ..
Though the number plate doesn't help so it's all a bit of nonsense really... ...Ian
