I'm working on my kick-starter(case) and read in the maintenance manual that when the kick-starter is in it's upright position the stop pin is rubber cushioned.
The rubber piece is missing in mine, I opened another and it's also missing in that one.
I couldn't find it in the parts list. Is this a part that can be ordered, or do you just make it yourself?
Thanks Ken. It's only the rubber that is missing, the metal stop is still there.
I can understand the rubber dissolves. Is the rubber a critical part? If it dissolves there must be a lot of them riding around without it.
I guess the rubber is there to dampen the hit from the kick-starter.
What I have looks like a full metal pin. I thought the rubber was supposed to be around it, looking at the picture in the manual.
But is it a metal bush with the rubber inside it?
If you are located in the Netherlands "De Engelse Motorwinkel" has these rubber stops, part number 320-X-1 price €9,-.
Only problem is that the minimum order amount is €25,-.
