Having installed my re built flea engine I attached the kickstart and operated it and all seemed fine, on trying it again it did not engage and I could hear the spindle pawl going klick klick on both the down and return stroke. What could go wrong with such a simple method of engaging the pawl, John.

John I can only assume that the little spring that holds the pawl out to engage inside the kickstarter gear has broken or collapsed. It's only a 12p item but I'm afraid you will have to strip the crankcases to fit it. Ron
