Yes, negative earth. I bought one from Paul Goff to assist cure my charging problems and it has not helped a bit! Mind you, if I took it out of the spares drawer and fitted it, it might help. But then if I fitted it and it made no difference, I would be disappointed. Better to live in hope than to travel in darkness?

Negative earth thanks

You need to check if the dynamo has been flashed in the past to positive earth. If this is the case and you have bought a negative earth regulator, then flash the dynamo to negative earth. Google "Matchless clueless". From memory it shows how to set up a G3L.
