Ian, I think that you've got a Matchless part - it certainly fits the E3AR -

Bright Spark Magnetos has a full Lucas list and you can Google the dynamo code...

Looking at another spec. chart it seems various AJS/Matchless models from the mid 30's into the post war era used this brush cover band....

Anyone have the dynamo model code for matchless WD models?....

E3AR,E3AS,E3ES,E3E,E3A/O and E3A dynamos all used the 200435 cover...Ian

Ian my 1942 G3L parts book states Dynamo complete Lucas type E3AR-A05-1 part number 200-430.
