Cylinder Head Bolts

Hi everyone,
Can somebody please tell me the socket size to remove my wm20 cylinder head bolts. I can't find the right size, nearest one being about 15mm

Thanks

Andy

Re: Cylinder Head Bolts

Don't attempt it with a metric socket, get a proper british one or you'll knacker the heads.

What Keith said! And also; quite soon you'll find the joy of buying tools that go beyond the one once usually found in a toolbox. I am writing this since your question indicates that you are new to the world of old britbikes. If not feel free to ignore me
Sharing a workshop with 17 people and 35 or so bikes I take great pleasure in laughing at some of my garage-mate's rather simplistic toolboards containing of only one set of each tool (being in metric sizes) while I have several. Witworth of course being the crown jewels. When we get drunk I sometimes bore them to death by taking endlessly about pitch threads with 55% angles and 26 tpi.

Start by buying some british sockets tomorrow and before you know it you'll end up like me.

Re: Cylinder Head Bolts

55 Degrees not %! Sorry about that...
