Yes 3BA, and there is a bloke selling all BA sizes in S/S at Stafford every year. He's in the last corner hall next to the Bonham's auction hall. Go through the door, turn left past Jeff the rubber man and he's in the corner. Leon and Henk will know him.
I was able to find (Not easy.. ) that BMH TRADING has
"Headlamp panel screw, self tapping, Lucas headlight ea"
"Headlamp / headlight panel screw, self tapping, Lucas. Used for headlights where threaded hole not used in shell on eg SSU700 series, MU42
Original Lucas number:
186130 - screw"
I thought that since this is the only one I could find with the correct Part No,
Maybe the head shape and the thread are correct, and if there is a "drill"
On the tip of the screw, it could be cut off.
The other difference is usually a notch along the thread.
I used slotted brass 3BA screws in my latest one, get them easy off ebay. Got some spare if you need some.
My M20 headlamp inserts were shot so I knocked them out and put No6 UNC rivnuts in, easy choice of screws available then.
