There may not be a torque setting for them, I just do them as tight as I can within reason usually using an 18" breaker bar and usually you can "feel" when you have reached the maximum torque that would be acceptable, if you had a "feel" for doing this you would notice that it stops turning and there is a fine line between this setting and over tightening the nut, I'd suggest trying to get the feel using a similar sized fine threaded nut and bolt. As you tighten it you feel it stop turning, then if you carry on it will continue to turn, but feel like it dosent really want to turn, then if you carry on you will feel the point where it gets easier just before the thread strips or the bolt snaps. In reality a correct torque may not be correct due to wear on the tapers and different resistances on the thread. If it's an Alpha big end you may notice that a thin sliver of wire comes from the nut where it is removing part of the thread even before it is tight as I've noticed this a lot with their big ends, I even had one rip the thread off before it was anywhere near tight, I couldn't even get the nut off and had to drill the nut and split it. In an ideal world a torque setting would be ok, but but because of the differences in tolerances on both the tapers and threads it may be impractical to use one. In fact a lot of manufacturers now use a low torque setting, maybe as low as 10ft/lb, this is then followed by turning the nut a by degrees for example the Harley uses a 9-14ft/lb torque followed by turning the nut 90 degrees, this is to overcome and differences in the thread tolerances and plating thickness etc, I don't know if you get a box of new nuts and bolts, some will screw together easier than others for this reason.
