Telescopic fork oil

I'm restoring a 1949 ZM20. Does anyone have information about the quantity and type of oil for the forks?

Re: Telescopic fork oil

Bryce,

if I remember correctly 5 fl oz for the early forks (like yours) and 7 fl oz for later forks.

Thanks guys...once again a great help

Re: Telescopic fork oil

Straight 30 grade, Is that engine oil???
I had trouble trying to find the heavier 15 W fork oil, rather than the more common 10W for my early B31. My forks seem the work OK, but a lot of bounce on the rebound. It would be good to get them working a bit better.
