I failed the memory test... ...

I seem to remember that the early, larger, WD M20 tank had the smaller filler cap that is the same size as the oiltank cap..

The trouble is I'm not sure...Can someone enlighten me?...

Also, did the early tank have a single petrol tap with a 'joining pipe' under the tank or twin taps as on later tanks?.....Ian

My early WD ballon tank has a normal winged filler cap, not as small as the oil filler cap. It also has two fuel tabs underneath the tank.

Hi Ian

If you look at visitors bikes you will see my M20 third from last posting. The filler cap on this is three and a quarter inches dia.
The oil filler cap is two and a half inches dia, I am fairly certain both are original to the bike
My tank has two outlets one is blocked off operates of a single pipe only this appears to have occurred a long time ago. This M20 was released by the MOD on the 31st July 1970 and stored mostly thereafter.
